Meet The Founders
Hello, we’re Alex & Lyz.
We started the Cooking Around the World Challenge as a way to combine two things we genuinely love: cooking and travel. We’ve always enjoyed trying new foods and exploring different cultures, but traveling frequently isn’t always realistic. So we asked ourselves—why not bring the experience home?
This challenge was our way of turning the kitchen into a passport, allowing us to explore the world one meal at a time. It also became a smarter alternative to expensive date nights. Instead of spending money going out, we created meaningful, fun experiences at home—trying new recipes, learning about different countries, and sharing something we built together. What started as a simple idea quickly became something bigger: a way to improve our cooking skills, connect more intentionally, and make everyday life more exciting without breaking the bank.
